Host Your Own Event!

Hosting your own Internet Safety Night is as easy as 1-2-3!

Whether you time your event with ours and connect for live interaction, or host your own event any time, here is the quick and easy MOREnet guide to getting it done!

  1. Put it on the calendar!
  2. There's no magic here. Just pick the date and time that works for you, your organization and your community and get it on the calendar, so you have a deadline to work toward!

  3. Recruit your experts!
  4. You can always connect to MOREnet's featured speaker and panelists, but localizing the event with your own local experts might make the discussion more relevant and meaningful in your community. We suggest contacting a local law enforcement agent, a school guidance counselor, a librarian, or any other expert you feel can contribute to the discussion and is comfortable answering questions. In addition, your local experts can always turn to MOREnet for resources to help them prepare. Visit besafe.more.net often for the latest links and tools.

  5. Invite EVERYONE to attend!
  6. Now that your event is set, you just have to let people know! Post fliers in schools and libraries, talk to teachers and parents, let your local media outlets know, and get help from your panelists too! Everyone you know can help spread the word about your event. AND you can always visit besafe.more.net for sample fliers and press releases to help get the ball rolling.

Now you can count the days until your event! Be a constant recruiter, and be sure to let us know if there are any other resources we can help with to make your events easier and more successful.
